If your answer is yes, then we invite you to join us! A thrilling opportunity has opened for a permanent part-time Coal Logistics Officer to become part of our team in Newcastle, Australia. The role requires you to work 2 days per week, with the provision to cover a full working week when relieving operators.
A Day in the Life of a Coal Logistics Officer: As a Coal Logistics Officer, your responsibilities include the submission and compliance of coal vessels, from planning arrivals to berthing, loading, and departures in collaboration with our clients and local port rules and regulations. Accounting of stock railed, loaded and transferred within the port. You will be preparing documentations for shipment on behalf of our client in strict compliance with relevant contract. You will work independently and as part of a cohesive team, ensuring smooth port calls and building strong relationships with stakeholders. Your role involves continuous learning about business opportunities, port activities, and regulatory updates to stay informed and effective in your duties. Who You Are: You are a self-motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for achieving excellence. While prior experience or exposure to the Shipping Industry is advantageous, we welcome candidates who have a strong clerical background with an excellent work ethic and the right attitude to learn and succeed. Attention to detail, administrative proficiency, and a good grasp of computer skills are essential. You thrive under pressure, meet deadlines effectively, and approach challenges as opportunities for growth. Safety, compliance, and wellness are paramount to you and your team's success. You must possess a valid Australian work permit, driver's license, and driving experience, along with eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
