May manage a team either directly or indirectly.
This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Manages assigned programs, to include: exercise planning, cost management, resource allocation, preparation of equipment, deployment of assets to training areas. Ensures programs are delivered on time and within budgetEnsures any exercise risks are appropriately managedMaintains records in line with documentation control methodsMentors, trains, and develops staff to ensure high performance. Ensures team has all necessary skills to provide a high level of serviceProvides technical leadership to the team as well as being an on-site presence for the teamProvides exercise reporting for senior managementManages any third-party contractors as required General Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with Cubic's Quality Management SystemComply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and proceduresComply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisationsComply with Cubic Human Resources ProceduresOther duties as requested Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications Certificate IV Training and Assessment or RPL equivalency Skills/Experience/Knowledge 7 years military experienceSkilled in using Microsoft Office suite of applications Personal Qualities Ability to work as part of a team and to manage a team to ensure high performanceExcellent verbal communication skillsUnparalleled negotiation skillsHigh levels of customer support and service deliveryExcellent time management, organisational and project management skillsSelf-motivatedHave the flexibility to travel when required as this role will require periods of travel and extended hours Condition of Employment: Successful outcome of a National Police Check
