Home Job Info Principal Role Description/Criteria The Co-Principal will provide comprehensive and effective leadership to the Geelong P-12 Campus of MacKillop Education including meeting all key result areas and responsibilities.
MacKillop Education Geelong is a specialist school that caters for young people who have been disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education.
School can be a challenging environment for many children and young people, especially those who have experienced adversity and/or complex trauma.
To cater for a student's learning and wellbeing needs, we provide an environment that empowers students to re-engage in education and supports them academically and socially so they can experience success in learning and either continue their education at MacKillop or return to their host school.
In line with other Victorian Catholic schools, we implement the Victorian Curriculum at Foundation – Year 10, and the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) in the senior years of secondary school.
Our Reframing Learning and Teaching Environments model (ReLATE) ensures we provide a safe learning environment for children and young people impacted by trauma.
It is a holistic, school-wide model that is focused on supporting students at-risk.
The Co-Principal will work alongside the current Co-Principal to lead and deliver on all key result areas and responsibilities.
This position is a part-time position 3-days a week located at our Geelong Campus commencing January 2025.

The Co-Principal is responsible for the following areas of leadership: Ethos and Identity Learning and Teaching Educational Community Administrative The ideal candidate will possess: Relevant postgraduate qualifications in education Extensive experience in educational leadership.
Relevant experience teaching and supporting vulnerable children and young people.
