CNC Operator | Laser / Press Required to work within our BRAND NEW Truck Body Manufacturing facility at our Engineering division in Yatala. We appreciate there is more to life than work, we offer a 4-day working week - EVERY WEEKEND is a long weekend!
ABOUT THE ROLE Operate Laser machine and brake press machine Loading and unloading (some heavy lifting required) Perform QA checks to ensure quality of parts Sort, organize, and store materials Identify and work with various metals, ensuring correct material usage Utilize CNC machine software to create cutting programs within company guidelines Create production documents Maintain machine efficiency Ensure all necessary paperwork and record keeping is done neatly, legibly and in a timely manner Conduct routine maintenance of the CNC machines as per maintenance schedule Check and report any equipment faults Basic troubleshooting of machine performance issues Keep workplace clean and tidy ABOUT YOU Experience as Laser / Plasma operator or Trades Assistant in a similar environment Experience in a manufacturing environment including use of hand tools and other auxiliary machinery Be physically fit and able to load and unload parts on and off the machines Forklift licence (essential) DG High-Risk Work Licence (desired) Proficient with interpretation of workshop drawings Workshop safety orientated Be subject to a pre-employment medical Permanent $35-$40 per hour plus Super & BONUS
