Who is Nut Producers Australia?
Nut Producers Australia (NPA) is an almond and pistachio processing and marketing business with a charter to maximise returns to growers and has an annual turnover more than $100 million. The business is a collective of three companies: NPA, the marketing and administration company based in Adelaide, Riverland Almonds in Loxton, Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company based in Robinvale, Vic. As a separate and complementary channel, NPA also carries on the business of product trading to add to the growth of the business.
The Role - What we are looking for We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide the highest level of support to the Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant. You will provide support and be responsible for the preparation, development, and analysis of financial information to allow the organisations to make well informed decisions to ensure future stability, profitability, and growth.
The person will look ahead, analyse business performance and advise on how to pre-empt problems and adapt to changing circumstances and developments. Our aim is to have efficient and effective processes for all transactions, so we seek an individual who is keen and committed to continuous improvement.
A role with variety You will have a wide range of interesting and challenging work, including:
Review and verify invoices and requests for payment.Process supplier invoices into the system for payment.Prepare and process electronic transfers and payment runs.Ensure all credit card transactions are recorded in the system.Reconcile accounts payable transactions to supplier statements.Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues by liaising with suppliers as necessary.Act as the primary contact and respond to supplier inquiries as required.Maintain a procedure manual of accounts payable tasks as a guide for backup assistance when such assistance becomes necessary.Prepare the daily entry of transactions made in the bank, and transfer monies between company bank accounts as required.Determine and record financial transactions.Prepare regular account reconciliations and make amendments as required.Prepare and input reconciliations for payroll tax, workers compensation and other salary related costs.Upload payroll files into banking system.Assist with the preparation of financial reports including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.The person we seek.
