A little about Black Pepper & Yarra Trail's Cluster Manager role:

We are growing quickly and need people who can lead a team. We are looking for a Cluster Manager to lead our Northern Sydney region. This is a great opportunity if you have previous retail Cluster Management experience and want to demonstrate your drive and initiative. Once you have joined the Black Pepper/Yarra Trail family, you will not be alone. Reporting to the Area Manager, you as Black Pepper & Yarra Trail's Cluster Manager (Northern Sydney) will be supporting our NSW stores - Black Pepper: St Ives and Warriewood, and David Jones stores (Yarra Trail & Black Pepper): Macquarie, Castle Hill, and Elizabeth St). You will be based in the Black Pepper St Ives store an average of 3 days per week to provide guidance to your team and for your Store Managers.

What will you do as our Cluster Manager?

You will be responsible for managing the overall performance of the Black Pepper and Yarra Trail stores in their region in line with the business strategy to maximise profitable sales. This role involves:

Overseeing 8 stores to provide a level of customer interaction that goes beyond the sale, excellent people management, visual merchandise management, and the effective control of inventory. Developing and implementing tactical plans, providing the leadership necessary to deliver outstanding customer service through driving, coaching, and mentoring your team. Leading a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by recommending strategies to improve performance across sales, staff, stock & systems. Performance Management through achieving goal setting and KPI targets. Ensure staff are aware, supported, and trained to deliver on team budgets and KPIs. Nurturing the growth & development of your direct reports to create a talent pipeline within our retail network. Preparing monthly rosters costed to achieve store budgets. Managing any escalated store or customer complaints if need be, ensuring they're dealt with promptly and professionally. Being confident managing all aspects of the employee life-cycle. Assisting with recruitment. We're looking for someone that has: Previous Cluster Management experience in the retail space. Proven track record of delivering results, driving sales, and engaging your team, with expert knowledge of KPIs. Great people management skills; a thorough understanding of performance management. An ability to analyse data, act efficiently, and make calculated business decisions. Interest in thinking 'outside the box' to improve and maintain a cutting-edge knowledge of our market. A passion for customers, and ability to organise and engage in internal and external events. Good active listening skills, providing an inclusive and supportive environment for the team and peers. The ability to think on your feet and move with a sense of urgency. Availability to work a rotating Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday roster.
