As the Cluster Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and coordination of the Human Resources function for Hilton Cairns & DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns, and all HR team member related activities including recruitment, learning and development and training, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, health and safety, and other team-based activities.
Specifically, you will be responsible for Managing the overall performance of the following tasks to the highest standards: Initiate recruitment activities using Taleo, the Company's talent management system Input data into the hotel payroll system and communicate with payroll to ensure accuracy Manage all Human Resource administration and onboarding activities Support Human Resources activities, including onboarding, work experience program, careers fairs, training materials, and Team Member opinion surveys Serve as the point of contact for Team Member issues, advising the Area Director of HR as appropriate  Keep current with employment law, human resources policies, and training requirements Assist in determining training requirements and support training initiatives Assist in the organization of Team Member social events What are we looking for?
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Human Resources Position Strong Industrial Relations experience and knowledge of Australian legislation Extensive background in team member engagement, recruitment and learning and development activities Computer literate Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication skills A Degree level qualification or equivalent relevant experience It would be advantageous for you to demonstrate the following capabilities: Previous human resources management experience in the hotel, hospitality, leisure, and/or retail sector Hilton Australia has again been recognised by the Great Place to Work Institute as one of Australia's best companies to work for in 2024!
