Job Description Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceDirect and manage all activity related to the Sales department, ensuring all service standards are followedResponsible for all Sales Colleagues' achievement of individual goalsDirect all Sales and Marketing initiatives for the hotelProvide guidance and direction in the development of segment action plansBe responsible for account management of key market segmentsEnsure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basisReview sales contracts, considering the number of rooms, average rate and total revenue objectives of the hotelParticipate in select sales activities both on and off propertySet individual room revenue and/or room night goalsManage any Sales Incentive ProgramsEnsure the integrity of key accounts, the key prospect database and monitoring of the sales software programs for accuracy and thoroughnessPrepare an annual budget for approval and administer that budget in a fiscally responsible mannerBalance operational, administrative and Colleague needsFollow departmental policies and proceduresEnsure all sales reporting systems are efficient, relevant and coordinated.Areas of responsibility include Sales components in all revenue areas.Recruits and provides appropriate support to new sales employees to ensure their ultimate success.Supports Global Sales Offices and monitors the working relationship and productionIdentifies key customers and establishes goals for existing and new key accounts through the establishment of detailed action plans for each of the hotel's market segmentsAchieves budgeted room night quotas and average rates set out in the yearly business plan for the hotel.Coordinates the hotel's participation in multiple property and company-wide campaigns.Knowledgeable about the competitive set and will be on top of market share statistics.Qualifications 8 to 10 years of hotel experience at the property level. At least 5 of which have been managing sales personnel.Formal University/College education, preference given to those with a hotel management degree. Experience in the advertising field and former association with an ad agency.Proven organizational and communications skills.Knowledge and experience in the tour and Corp IT is essential; familiarity with the convention market segments and leisure market segments is an asset.Additional Information
