Commodity Manager - Subcontracts and Design Clough has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commodity Manager – Subcontracts and Design to join the Supply Chain Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively play a key role in supporting the corporate procurement new organization, optimizing procurement processes and best practices, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring a proper execution of sourcing activities of different categories managing and overseeing a team of buyers both with hierarchical and functional responsibility.

Your focus will include:
Builds and maintains strong relationships with key designers and subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and monitor performances to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services. Defines the procurement and negotiation strategy, with a focus on achieving the relative money-saving targets and on consolidating the suppliers, by coordinating the team of reference projects. Provides leadership and mentoring to commodity, functional or project task assigned team, providing management level support on a project for Subcontracting and Design activities, during tender and execution phases. Negotiates tender and pre-bid agreements with key subcontractors and designers. Oversees the preparation and updating of Bidders lists, issue of RFQ's, Commercial Bid Evaluations and RFA process, leading the team for key strategic negotiations. Identifies and negotiates applicable T&Cs to be applied for all packages liaising with Contract Management and Legal departments. Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of the supply chain, analyse data, and drive actionable insights for improvement. Ensures assigned personnel comply with CMS processes and policies. What you will bring to the team:
10/15+ years minimum experience in similar role in Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction/Engineering environment. Capable of hands-on management of major subcontract and design packages. Proven track record in Corporate Commodity/Category Management. Contracts management experience and familiarity with Contract law and conditions (and ability to negotiate). Demonstrated experience in managing direct, indirect and functional teams. High level of Knowledge of the main cost drivers, cost analysis methods and ability to analyse financial statements.
