We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to join our team on a permanent basis in Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders, guide cloud migration projects, and help shape the future of our cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities:Analyse and document current IT architecture and infrastructure, ensuring information architecture systems are up-to-date.Assist in developing and maintaining the cloud adoption strategy, architecture, and roadmap.Evaluate the cost and complexity of proposed architectures, ensuring optimal solutions.Foster relationships with technology vendors and key internal/external stakeholders.Collaborate on defining target architectures that address business and IT challenges, ensuring clear communication and documentation.Provide leadership on cloud tools, deployment pipelines, security practices, and disaster recovery.Promote a DevOps culture by embedding cloud architecture standards across the organization.Implement proof of concepts for key projects, validating integrations with on-premises and cloud services.Drive continuous improvement by developing shared processes, tools, and libraries.Assist in creating sequencing plans for transitioning from current to target architectures.Support business and technical teams in understanding and prioritizing cloud initiatives.Develop business cases for third-party technologies and assist with sequencing and resourcing in collaboration with the Project Management Office.Provide thought leadership on IT system improvements, ensuring compliance and security in day-to-day operations. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in designing and building cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.Proven experience with large-scale cloud platforms and public cloud providers.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, etc.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in deploying, scaling, and managing applications.Proficiency with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, DataDog, New Relic) and a passion for tracking performance metrics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in planning cloud infrastructure and system operations.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
