You will play a crucial role in implementing and remediating security control gaps across Azure tenants. Your expertise in cloud security tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud will be vital in ensuring robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments. You will also manage Web Application Firewalls and integrate detection and prevention controls with the SIEM platform. Collaboration with various teams such as Infrastructure, Cloud/DevOps, and Application teams will be key to prioritising remediation activities. Your ability to provide expert guidance on Azure security best practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be highly valued.Monitor, report and improve security posture in Azure environments by tracking remediation of security gaps and vulnerabilities by severityReview and implement cloud security policies and standards across Azure environmentsImplement Microsoft Defender for Cloud and similar cloud security toolsManage Web Application Firewalls, including the exception process for WAF rulesIntegrate detection and prevention controls by integrating cloud security events with SIEM platformCollaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud/DevOps, and Application teams to prioritise remediation activitiesProvide expert guidance on Azure security best practices to technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for the Cloud Security Engineer position brings a wealth of cybersecurity knowledge backed by relevant qualifications. A degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science is essential along with professional certifications in cyber and cloud security. With at least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity including 3 years focused on cloud security, you have a deep understanding of Azure and its security frameworks. Your experience in using and integrating security solutions such as endpoint security, SIEM, WAF, Threat Intelligence, IDS, IPS, Secure Web Gateway is highly desirable. You are also familiar with the security incident response process.At least 6 years of experience in cyber security including 3 years in cloud security responsibilitiesDegree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related fieldProfessional certifications in cyber and cloud security (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSP, CCSK) are advantageousDeep understanding of Azure and its security frameworksExperience in using and integrating security solutions such as endpoint security, SIEM, WAF, Threat Intelligence, IDS, IPS, Secure Web GatewayExperience with security incident response processWhat sets this company apart:Our client is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment with robust plans and initiatives supporting under-represented groups and environmental sustainability.
