The Role: Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Security Consultant/Advisor who can set up, monitor, and manage cloud security alerts.
In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to: Maintain the Cloud security posture management using Crowdstrike.Monitor and investigate the security alerts for indicators of misconfigurations (IOM) and indicators of attacks (IOA).Monitor, escalate, and remediate the alerts/incidents generated by Crowdstrike (Indicator of Attack and Indicator of Misconfigurations) to identify potential incidents.Create a track of alerts generated and improve the SOPs.Optimize Performance: Tune and automate the process to improve cloud security.Apply security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and breaches.Troubleshoot, respond to incidents, and mitigate threats in a complex security environment.Provide level two support and expertise related to cloud security as needed.Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for system administration, automation, and incident remediation.Risk Assessment and Management: Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities in cloud environments.Security Architecture Design: Design and implement secure cloud architectures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, log analysis, and integrating them with Crowdstrike products.To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Crowdstrike Falcon Horizon, Crowdstrike CSPM, Azure, and AWS Security Guard.Proven experience with troubleshooting, incident response, and threat mitigation in complex security environments.Experience working in a support or managed service role, assisting clients with technical issues and system configurations.Technical skills: Advanced knowledge of Windows, Linux operating systems, and Azure, AWS cloud environments, including endpoint protection techniques, malware analysis, and security configurations.Problem-solving & Analytical skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Comfortable interacting with customers, managing escalations, and providing clear updates during incident investigations.Teamwork and Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across multiple functions to solve technical problems.You'll receive an excellent salary and benefits package for your knowledge, expertise, and flexibility.
