We are working closely with one of our key government clients to seek a Cloud Operations Specialist to support and mature cloud services and infrastructure operational capabilities. This will be done by providing ICT technical advice and expertise optimising public cloud platforms and infrastructure services, through the implementation of orchestration, automation and continuous improvement strategies.
What you will be involved with: Supporting development teams and new projects through the planning, design and implementation of cloud infrastructure and platform solutions as required;Enhancing systems operations, with a focus on automation and cost optimisation;Overseeing the selection and implementation of orchestration tooling for the purpose of cloud operations optimisation;Researching and overseeing implementation of DevOps practices, with a focus on reducing operational overheads attributed to projects and application development requiring infrastructure resources;Providing technical advice and support regarding the use of Microsoft cloud services and platforms;Researching and monitoring Microsoft 365 / Azure and AWS roadmaps for the implementation of new cloud capabilities and evolution of existing services;Maintaining cloud platform effectiveness, specifically Microsoft 365 and Azure, through the identification and recommendation of improvements;Developing and continuously improving the cloud infrastructure Disaster Recovery capabilities.What you will bring: Experience in the design and development of cloud infrastructure and platforms, including significant experience operating in a technical lead capacity, ideally in a Microsoft environment;Experience in the design and implementation of enterprise systems using structured architectural and software development methodologies and industry proven patterns and practices;Experience in acting as a technical leader, managing small projects and proof-of-concept exercises to validate technology and methods, while influencing stakeholders and driving business innovation;Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully operate within a highly regulated environment with experience in the interpretation and application of legislation and policies.How to apply: For more information or a confidential discussion please call Nicky Stanway at u&u on 07 3232 9133 or email ****** quoting reference number 39949.
