Cloud Engineer (Sfia 4)

Location options – Canberra, Sydney (Penrith), Melbourne (Box Hill), Brisbane.
Remote Desktop Application may be used, where required and only if approved by the Project Manager.

Travel may be required on an ad hoc basis to attend associated workshops and meetings.

Skills Description The Cloud engineer works as part of our Systems team to design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure and services for our cloud hosted applications and help the branch leverage the benefits of cloud computing.

This role is responsible for:
Implementation of cloud solutions, including deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud services and infrastructure.
Planning and forecasting cloud sustainment costs, including regular reporting.
Monitoring and optimisation of cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and appropriate utilisation.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure.
Providing guidance and advice relating to use of cloud including promotion of best practice.
Automation and identification of opportunities to streamline processes as part of continuous improvement.
Collaboration with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure cloud infrastructure is secure and resilient to support operations and applications.
