About the opportunity The Cloud Engineer is a key member of the Platform Engineering Function.
This role forms part of a team tasked with the delivery and maintenance of key platform workloads supporting both our application offerings and key infrastructure underpinning the Enterprise IT technology stack.
As part of a team of Cloud Engineers, this role will work collaboratively to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligning to cloud best practices and frameworks.
The role will have a strong focus on cloud security and networking, so extensive experience in key Azure Security and Networking technologies and topologies is paramount.
You will have a customer-first mindset which promotes collaboration with the various technologies teams you support, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-skilling.
Responsibilities Deploy and maintain infrastructure for reliability, security, and performance, leveraging Infrastructure as Code.Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines.Embed security practices into all aspects of the DevOps processes.Manage observability tooling to ensure a proactive approach to issue resolution.Manage key platform tooling to support both the Platform team and other teams leveraging these tools.Work closely with the Security Operations team to triage and remediate cloud misconfigurations or security vulnerabilities as they arise.Skills and Knowledge History working in the Microsoft Azure stack aligning to Microsoft Architectural Patterns such as Cloud Adoption Framework – Enterprise Scale Landing Zones.Experience aligning Cloud workloads to the Microsoft Well Architected Framework.Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies with proven experience working with tools to support delivering with operational excellence front of mind.Infrastructure as Code – Terraform preferred.Pipeline tooling – GitHub Actions preferred.Code Security tooling.Atlassian suite.Proven experience deploying, maintaining, and monitoring across the Azure Suite.As a valued member of the Steadfast team, you'll enjoy a comprehensive array of benefits tailored to support your professional and personal well-being.
