Overview
The purpose of the Cloud Engineer is to deliver Cloud technology services and solutions across the business and subsidiary entities. This will involve working closely with internal teams and technology partners to ensure production systems are highly available, well supported and incidents are identified and resolved in a timely manner. This role will be required to take on technical lead responsibilities in the delivery of Cloud based Infrastructure projects aligned to the Technology Roadmap.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
Strategic Focus
Evaluate, select and manage Cloud technical solutions to meet the business requirements
Drive initiatives for the continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure team
Operational Management
Develop and support standard MUFG P&MS IT infrastructure to meet business requirements
Work with various stakeholders to be a technical lead as required to own and manage the delivery of IT infrastructure projects as directed
Develop & Deliver Azure cloud support of the various business units and projects across the MUFG PMS and subsidiaries as required.
Support cloud workloads in Azure and AWS
Maintain and oversee technical support to assist in the resolution of Infrastructure related incidents.
Represent the infrastructure team to be the technical escalation point for 3rd parties in the ongoing support and management of the IT infrastructure.
Drive the delivery of technical solutions for other IT infrastructure projects as required.
Oversee technical support for escalated Severity 1 and 2 issues as required
Deliver technical support services to other project teams as required
Deliver front line Azure Network support to group wide network infrastructure
Deliver technical input into Crisis/Incident Management as required
Ensure advice and input into the DRP, BCP and annual audit process
Respond and resolve service requests or incidents within SLAs and as soon as possible
Escalate service requests or incidents to software and hardware vendors as required
Ensure that the business priorities are communicated for all tasks under your management
Formal Training and certification is required as agreed with the IT Manager to address any documented skill-gap areas.
Governance & Risk
Ensure procedural and architecture documentation is maintained and updated accordingly
Work on corrective actions and assist with audit as required
Ensure audit and compliance protocols are reviewed and complied with
Ensure all work adheres to appropriate change management, audit and compliance protocols.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Appropriate post graduate Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science/Information Technology
5 Years' experience in Cloud design, implementation, and support.
5 Years' experience in a mission critical financial services environment within a system administrator or architect role
Azure Cloud experience
Some AWS Experience desirable
Demonstrated front line network support expertise.
Exposure to Infrastructure Architecture principles and documentation
Highly Professional approach and Customer Focused
Ability to approach technical issues and problems in an analytical and solutions focused manner
Understanding and appreciation for a disciplined IT approach to incident, problem and change management
Work in a Transparent and Accountable manner
Good organisational skills with the discipline to complete daily operational tasks accurately and consistently
