Our client is a federal government agency responsible for one of the nation's largest, most complex and scrutinised peacetime logistical events.
About the Role Our Client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to work within the Chief Technology Officer Branch of the Enterprise Transformation Group. This role will be responsible for undertaking very complex and sensitive work, under broad direction, utilizing expertise across a range of activities relating to IT Infrastructure. The Cloud Engineer will be primarily focused on managing and improving the company's Azure infrastructure, such as Azure resources, Office 365 applications, and their Standard Operating Environments. Additionally, this role may be asked to manage or develop AWS infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Working on infrastructure tasks such as:Office 365 Mail, File collaboration, Teams and associated services.Azure AD Identity and Azure Automation.Security Compliance configurationMigration of users, systems and dataDocumentation and handover into OperationsManaging and engaging with risk in all cloud areas of the program.Anticipating and establishing priorities for the cloud components in the program.Engaging with agency stakeholders and ensuring their requirements are addressedProviding high quality timely advice and guidance to the Program's management in relation to cloud services.Skills and Experience: MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZENPreferred industry experience: Public Sector / ITDemonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise IT solutions consuming Azure services, including some or all the following:Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) setup and managementIdentity - Entra ID (AAD), Azure B2C and Entra ID ConnectAPI Management (APIM), developing API and APIM maintenance and infrastructureStorage - blobs, file shares, queues, and tables.Integration - Service Bus and Event HubCertificate managementSecrets / Key vault managementExperience in writing Azure DevOps CI/CD YAML pipelines using Bicep and/or ARMExperience with managing and migrating solution infrastructure to the Azure platform.Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and process in context of Infrastructure managementDemonstrated knowledge of the commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks.How to Apply If you're ready to take on this exciting opportunity and join the team, please apply here or alternatively, you can email Ethan from our Sydney office at ****** quoting Job Reference 543326 to register your interest.
