Job Opening: Cloud Identity Engineer/Architect Location: Canberra, ACT

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Identity Engineer/Architect to join our team for a federal government project based in Canberra, ACT.
This role requires a deep understanding of identity management systems and extensive experience in designing, implementing, and migrating identity services to cloud platforms, particularly within highly secure environments.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement on-premises and cloud-based identity services, with a focus on Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.Lead the migration process from on-premises identity services to Entra ID, establishing it as the primary authentication and authorization Identity Provider (IdP).Secure cloud identity technologies to a PROTECTED level, ensuring compliance with government standards.Implement Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Azure AD B2C, or Entra External ID, and manage Intune device policies.Design and enforce Azure AD/Entra Conditional Access Policies.Provide engineering leadership and guidance within identity technology domains, ensuring best practices are followed.Utilize strong coordination and organizational skills to manage tasks across a broad range of ICT systems and environments, including cloud platforms, authentication technologies, DNS, and MFA.Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, producing high-quality documentation and maintaining collaborative working relationships.Essential Criteria: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing both on-premises and 'as a service' identity capabilities, specifically with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.Proven expertise in designing and executing a migration strategy from on-premises identity services to Entra ID.Experience in securing cloud identity solutions to a PROTECTED level.In-depth knowledge of Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Azure AD B2C, or Entra External ID, and experience with Intune device management.Strong experience in designing and implementing Azure AD/Entra Conditional Access Policies.Broad ICT knowledge, including cloud platforms, authentication technologies, DNS, MFA, etc.Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Desirable Criteria: Experience in designing and implementing Windows 365 and/or Azure Virtual Desktop.Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, particularly Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).Experience working within Agile frameworks, such as Scrum.Familiarity with tools and technologies such as:M365DSCGraphAPIMSOLAzureAD PowerShell #J-18808-Ljbffr
