The Cloud Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's cloud strategy and ensuring its successful implementation.
This position demands a blend of strategic vision, hands-on expertise in cloud technologies, and a strong understanding of governance and compliance.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, the Cloud Architect will be responsible for defining robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions primarily on AWS, while also ensuring interoperability with other platforms like Azure and GCP.
Being part of the Enterprise Architecture Enabling team, key responsibilities include coaching best practices, and ensuring alignment with the company's business goals and regulatory requirements.
The Cloud Architect will also coach cloud engineering teams and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement in our cloud infrastructure and services.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Cloud Strategy and Governance Develop Cloud Adoption Strategy Implement Cost Management and Optimization practices Empower Product teams Architecture and Design Best Practices Advocate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools Adopt Microservices and Containerization DevOps and Automation Automation Tools and Practices Performance Optimization Training and Skill Development Knowledge Sharing Identify and Develop Cloud Champions Migration and Modernization Guide Application Modernization Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support Support Teams with Cloud Expertise Cross-Functional Alignment Build Cloud Community of Practice POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation, with a focus on Amazon Web Services.
Demonstrated experience with Azure and GCP.
Proven experience in a senior architecture role, preferably in a product-centric organization.
Relevant certification as cloud architect preferably in AWS.
Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of AWS services and architecture.
Proficiency in other cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.
Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, and compliance.
Experience in setting up and managing a Cloud Centre of Excellence.
Familiarity with domain-driven design and team topologies.
