The Opportunity As the Cloud Administrator, you'll have the chance to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You'll be responsible for managing and monitoring our cloud environments (primarily Azure and Office 365 environments), perform regular maintenance and updates and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities will include: Manage and Monitor Cloud Environments : Oversee Azure and Office 365 environments, performing regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Deploy Infrastructure with BICEP and DevOps : Build BICEP templates and set up DevOps pipelines and service principals to deploy new environments and resources efficiently.
Lead Migrations and Setups : Guide the migration of applications/resources from legacy Azure environments to new subscriptions; create new VNETs, subscriptions, and set up new web servers (Linux-based Apache servers and Azure Web Apps).
Enhance Security and Compliance : Review and improve Azure Policies to align with security and deployment standards; manage Azure and M365 security tools like Defender for Cloud and Conditional Access Policies.
Optimize Costs and Licensing : Monitor costs and resource expenditures to inform stakeholders on optimisations; manage licenses for operating systems and SaaS platforms.
Improve Connectivity and Visibility : Troubleshoot connectivity and service principal issues; administer RBAC permissions, set up new PIM groups and access groups, and enhance visibility, monitoring, and alerting across Azure environments.
About You Azure Networking Expertise : Extensive experience with Azure network routing concepts (VNETs, UDRs, ExpressRoute), DNS (Azure DNS private zones, on-premises integration), Application Gateway, and private endpoints.
Policy Management Skills : Proven expertise in implementing and managing CPSM, setting up Azure Policies for consistency and task automation, and working with RBAC roles.
DevOps and Infrastructure Proficiency : Skilled in using BICEP templates to deploy Azure infrastructure via DevOps, setting up pipelines and service principals, and managing DevOps agents on virtual machines.
Platform and Data Experience : Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Platform, storage accounts, and Azure Data Factory with self-hosted Integration Runtime; familiarity with Azure Monitor and Splunk.
Security and Access Control : Ability to set up PIM and Access Groups; manage Azure and M365 security tooling (Defender for Cloud, Conditional Access Policies); handle vulnerability posture and remediation within Azure environments.
Additional Skills : Knowledge and exposure to AWS (advantageous); capable of troubleshooting connectivity and service principal issues.
