Overview
The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) leads the Australian Government's efforts to improve cyber security. We are part of the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) and our role is to help make Australia the most secure place to connect online. Position Overview As a Cloud Administrator at ASD's ACSC, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of our cloud-based systems. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in AWS cloud technologies and be able to contribute to discussions, planning, and implementation of new systems.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to AWS cloud infrastructure, promptly resolving any identified issues.Monitor the performance of cloud systems, proactively identifying and addressing any performance bottlenecks or issues.Contribute to discussions requiring expert advice on cloud infrastructure and related technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the design, planning, and implementation of new cloud-based systems.Maintain and administer Linux servers, ensuring their stability, security and optimising performance in a cloud environment.Configure and provide advice on Cloudflare configuration to optimize performance and enhance security.Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
For Information: This role requires the successful applicant to complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.
Work Arrangements
The successful candidate will normally work 5 days per week (up to 40 hours per week, unless otherwise agreed with their manager). The role is Canberra based. However, there is flexibility for the successful candidate to work interstate under certain circumstances. Information on ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) An OSA is an ASD policy requirement for contractors who will be engaged for a period in excess of 12 months and are conducted to determine a person's suitability to work in ASD. The OSA requires a psychological assessment, which involves a questionnaire and an interview.
