Your responsibilities will include:
Purchasing & Procurement: Oversee daily purchasing of goods and services, ensuring compliance with council policies.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and conduct regular stock audits to optimize inventory levels.
Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Purchasing and Stores Officer, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Financial Collaboration: Work with the Accounts Officer for timely processing of orders and payments.
Data Analysis: Analyse spending trends to enhance our purchasing strategies.
What We're Looking For: We're looking for a candidate who is:
Experienced in inventory management and procurement policies.
A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
A natural leader who enjoys teamwork and supervising others.
Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
Knowledgeable about safe materials handling and storage practices.
Qualifications Needed:
Current Police Clearance.
Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children).
Unrestricted Driver's License.
Construction White Card (prior to start date).
High-risk forklift ticket (LF) or ability to obtain one.
Qualifications in Procurement, Fleet Management Support, or Business Administration.
