Clinician (Social Worker Level 2/Counsellor/Psych) - Alcohol and Other drugs - Coffs HarbourMid North Coast Local Health District – Newcastle NSWThe OpportunityThis role provides a unique opportunity for a clinician, as part of a new team, to contribute to evidence and improve outcomes for people with AOD concerns.
The In Reach/Outreach/Brief Intervention (IOBI) multidisciplinary team will provide counselling and brief intervention for clients seeking support for AOD concerns and will also provide in reach and outreach services.
The In-Reach component will bring the team's community expertise into the hospital care setting.
The outreach component will work with individuals with ongoing AOD issues who have had experiences that have impacted them to engage with services.
This role will provide an effective and efficient Social Work/Counselling/Psychologist service that addresses the psychosocial aspects of care for patients receiving substance use treatment including providing support, education and resources as required.This role is based in Coffs Harbour.About youDo you have qualifications eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; of qualifications eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; or a bachelor's degree in counselling or related field?
