#531517 Clinical Trial Coordinator Department of Haematology Calvary Mater Newcastle Fixed Term Full-Time Fixed Term Full-Time (3 years)Salary Classification: Health Services Manager Level 1 or Registered Nurse Yr 1-8.Remuneration: Health Service Manager Level 1 $42.58 - $56.65 per hour or Registered Nurse Year 1-8 $36.38 - $51.08 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO'sTHE ROLE: The Clinical Trial Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the conduct and management of designated clinical trials and research projects in the Department of Haematology.
The Clinical Trial Coordinator is expected to:
Ensure effective communication with members of the trial unit, trial sponsor, supporting departments within the hospital, and any relevant external parties (e.g., external service providers).Ensure effective communication with research participants and their families.Adopt all new office, site, and regulatory processes to ensure effective and efficient quality research.Commitment to improving cancer outcomes through quality research.Responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate administration of study treatments (if applicable to qualifications) and patient care in a patient-focused environment.DUTIES: Complete and accurate preparation/filing/archiving of correspondence and relevant study documents/manuals.Accurate and complete data capture and entry in Case Report Forms (CRFs) and electronic CRF (eCRFs) in a timely manner as directed by the sponsor.Timely scheduling of study procedures/tests to facilitate results available at study mandated time points.Creation of participant-specific study schedules as a tool for study participants to be aware/educated on all required study visits and assessments.Accurate collection/processing/shipment of study-specific samples as per protocol time points.Accuracy and attention to detail in participant records and study documents to ensure auditable trails are evident.Provide internal and external service providers with participant study numbers, dates of treatment, assessments, or other details as required to facilitate accurate data collection for study and correct billing to the trials office.Effective and timely communication to all relevant stakeholders to ensure all staff are aware of participant movements, current health status, treatments or delays, Serious Adverse Events, travel/accommodation needs, or other relevant information.ABOUT YOU: Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent tertiary Science qualifications.Haematology/extensive general cancer nursing experience or relevant research experience during tertiary Science Qualifications.Commitment to improving cancer outcomes through research.Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.Demonstrated effective organisational skills including the ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including development of rapport with patients and families in stressful situations.Demonstrated effective communication skills both written, electronic, and verbal.For further information please contact Kathy Hall, Clinical Trials Office Manager on email: ****** WHY JOIN US?
