Clinical Trials Coordinator  -  Obstetrics and Gynaecology Fixed Term Part time Time Fraction (hrs/wk): 8 $44.82-51.76per hour About the Role:   The Grampians Health Clinical Trials Unit are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Midwife to join our team.
This role is responsible for the coordination of clinical trials including support for trials growth inclusive of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
As a member of the research team, the Study Coordinator will have responsibility for, the delivery of direct and indirect care, associated data collection for concurrent research studies undertaken in the Clinical Trials Unit.
The Study coordinator will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to research participants and, where relevant, their families, in partnership with all members of the multidisciplinary and research team.
Key Responsibilities:   • Ensures that the clinical trial is coordinated as per protocol and as per the ICH guidelines for good clinical practice.
• Protects patient safety by ensuring that all trial-related investigations, procedures and treatments are performed by the appropriately trained and experienced staff and as per the trial protocol.
• Ensures the protocol/project requirements are met and maintains the interest and support of participants and other colleagues • To meet planned target accruals:  Liaises with clinicians and other health professionals to assist in the identification of eligible patients.
Ensure that the relevant departments/staff are aware of upcoming/current trials by the appropriate dissemination of information.
Skills and Experience • Relevant tertiary qualification in Midwifery and/or Registered Nurse Division 1.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• High motivation, and willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
• Consults widely and considers the opinions and perspectives of others before making a decision.
• Demonstrated awareness and understanding of the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and ethics guidelines.
