What you'll be doing The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is 'exceptional care, healthier lives'.

The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) will provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team within the postnatal service under the direction of the Midwifery Unit Manager of Postnatal Services.
The CSO will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action.
Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures.
Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the Service will remain the responsibility of the Midwifery Unit Manager – Postnatal Services.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
