Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. Easily accessible to Sydney residents, our team of clinicians, allied health, and support staff works with the community on a shared goal to maintain the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains Clinical Support Officer (CSO) role is ward/unit based and supports the work activities of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff, with locally determined shift times based on patient and ward/unit service delivery needs. The CSO may provide CSO functions across the health facility or to more than one ward/unit. The CSO works closely with existing administrative staff such as ward clerks and communication officers at the ward/unit level. As the successful incumbent, your position will compliment existing roles, systems, and processes in the organisation. Key to your success is the provision of timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team to designated ward(s)/unit(s) under the direction of the Nurse/Unit Manager(s) - NUM(s). What will you bring to the role: Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent or relevant work experience Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment Current Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
