Nursing & Midwifery Enterprise Agreement: Clinical Support Nurse (RN28)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Unit at West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Clinical Support Nurse in the Medical/HDU unit. This is a Permanent part time position at 0.4 EFT. Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides support to the organisation over a wide range of education and development services, including but not limited to, in-service education, development and delivery of training programs, competency assessments, supervision of student placements and staff development education in collaboration with the Clinical educator. We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated, experienced and enthusiastic people with a passion for learning and development to work collaboratively in providing high-quality learning opportunities, using a range of modalities that support and enable participants to practice as safe, confident and accountable professionals. This stimulating role would suit an experienced nurse who has clinical expertise in the area of medical nursing with experience in managing critical patients in a High-Dependency setting and is flexible, solutions-focused, committed to quality, willing to accept a challenge and enjoys working within a team that is dedicated to providing great service to their client group. Our preferred candidate will have:
Registration as a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia Demonstrated clinical excellence including advanced scope of practice in the Medical and High Dependency areas, no less than 3 years. Demonstrated experience in preceptoring, supporting and developing others Demonstrated experience in providing administrative/preparation support for relevant education programs/activities. Postgraduate qualification in the relevant clinical specialty area or working towards it.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
Previous experience in education or desire to work towards an education role in the future Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or relevant tertiary qualification in education Current certificate in Advanced Life Support. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
