Hybrid Role: Onsite time is required.
3 days weekly onsite in West Point, PA. 2 days remote based.
Overview: You will be responsible for reviewing future US import shipments, determining appropriate import requirements based on commodity and shipment details, then communicating that to stakeholders and/or shippers.
Responsible for contributing to team performance, transactional support and/or individual process analysis in support of departmental goals.
Interface with management, internal/ external customers, and suppliers.
Mentor the technical development of others.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
Provide customer service in support of product quality and supply chain principles.
What you will be doing: Provide technical expertise to shippers, receivers, and project teams regarding the US Customs and Other Government Agency (FDA, USDA, F&W, DEA) import clearance requirements for all commodities (equipment, supplies, capital equipment, finished goods, API bulk drug substance, MRL samples, clinical research materials, marketing and training materials) to support ongoing and evolving Company business processes.
Routine communication among sites, vendors, stakeholders, receivers, brokers/freight forwarders, to ensure timely delivery of supply chain items (i.e., raw materials, production components, intermediate and finished product), research and marketing shipments, and miscellaneous commodities.
Actively facilitates resolution of unforeseen operational impediments to minimize supply chain interruptions.
Support import trade compliance transactional and audit activities.
Trade compliance and logistical planning for new global trade activity resulting from cross functional project teams, including source change, new product, manufacturing site selection, basic research, clinical trial, product value extension, divestiture, and capital projects.
Log activity on a transactional basis for the purposes of trend analyses, performance metric reports, and productivity evaluations.
Oversee initial execution of shipment protocols to meet trade compliance and commercial obligations for new international shipment flows.
Support creation of new shipment lanes with Global Logistics' strategic providers and internal/external parties.
Maintain a central library of shipment protocols for operational use and review as applicable.
Support the investigation of corrective action/preventative action as applicable Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred Required Experience/Skills: MS Excel proficiency, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting ability to navigate within the function, business acumen, self-motivated, proactive behaviors and reliable Additional Requirements Experience in creating invoices and shipment exports, as well as experience working with a multi-location team i.e.
has the ability to actively and proactively engage with the team and collaborate.
