We are a small dynamic team working across multiple disciplines of Pathology including Anatomical Pathology, Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Transfusion. It is an exciting time to be part of transformative change as NSW Health Pathology is set to deliver a new statewide laboratory information management system and a quality management system supporting harmonisation of practice and enabling a truly integrated pathology service. NSW Health Pathology operates more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conducts over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. Our Forensic and Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems.

Providing high level project support for a wide range of projects, in collaboration with the Clinical Streams, management, stakeholders and peers. Development of business cases, participation in tenders for large scale and small scale equipment or consumables in collaboration with the appropriate management, stakeholders, industry partners and peers. The effective and efficient delivery of defined project outcomes within agreed time-frames, budgets, quality and resources. Providing research and analysis to inform project development and implementation and senior management, as needed. Support and coordination of work of the Clinical Streams in preparation of the introduction of a statewide quality management system and a statewide laboratory information system. Minimum Requirements Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated extensive work experience and capability in providing project support at a senior level. Demonstrated experience in balancing complex and multiple issues whilst maintaining quality around core project work. Proven ability to manage project scope, monitor project progress, identify and manage project risk and provide appropriate advice to the Executive. Demonstrated strong strategic, organisational and planning skills with the capacity to successfully meet deadlines. Proven proficiency in using PC based software including an advanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets and graphics) and working knowledge on project management software (Microsoft Project) and project management methodologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written expression, and the ability to interact with various levels of internal and external stakeholders. Detailed knowledge of pathology services and laboratory functions. Working Rights This position is a permanent position.
