About us Canteen is dedicated to supporting young people and their families affected by cancer. Founded by young cancer patients, our mission is to provide essential programs, services, and resources that positively impact the lives of 12-25 year-olds facing their own diagnosis, dealing with a close family member's cancer, or grieving the loss of a loved one. We believe in the transformative power of our team, and together, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Canteen's success is built on the capability and motivation of its people. We are now seeking a State Manager, WA to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Services, you will work closely with the services leadership team to ensure that service provision is informed by principles of best practice and meets the needs of service users.
About the Role The role involves setting and implementing strategic visions aligned with national goals, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration. Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing clinical and program delivery. Driving engagement initiatives. Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring services are consistently delivered to a high standard. This is a high-impact role for a qualified people, programs and operational leader with a natural ability to connect and support.
About You Tertiary qualification in allied health (psychology, social work, counselling or OT) and 10 years' sector experience. Eligibility/registration for the appropriate governing association is essential. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary psychosocial teams with demonstrated ability to develop an effective team culture and high performance. High level experience and knowledge of best practice in providing clinical services and programs to vulnerable young people and families. Strong communication and networking skills, ability to build rapport and respect for individual differences. Advanced computer skills, especially MS Office. Working with Children Check, current Australian drivers' license and Covid-19 vaccination. *Due to the nature of Canteen's work, you will be required to occasionally work weekends and evenings. Advance notice will be given when this is the case, and Canteen does have a Time off in Lieu policy for taking leave as agreed with the supervising manager.
