We are looking for an outstanding Clinical Specialist to join our Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), Neuromodulation business for a 12-month fixed term contract.
As the Clinical Specialist – DBS, Neuromodulation, you will provide clinical and technical support for a range of DBS products.
This support is required during implants, patient clinics, technical troubleshooting, and other general assistance to the sales team and their customers.

This role is responsible for supporting the Victoria region and reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager – DBS – ANZ.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? Providing clinical support including: patient education, device programming, patient follow-up, in-service training for clinical programs. Promoting clinical programs through education of current and new investigators by providing clinical strategy and case support to achieve company objectives. Successfully completing formal Neuromodulation training program, applying these skills in the field and maintaining a high level of technical and market knowledge on an ongoing basis. Building strong relationships with internal and external customers. Collaborating extensively with the DBS team to work cohesively, ensuring consistent delivery of first-class clinical and technical support. Working with the broader Neuromodulation team to identify training, research, and engagement opportunities for new and existing customers. Completing market analysis and regular reporting as required. Establishing contact as the primary person for hospital management, purchasing department, and hospital staff as it relates to BSC's Neuromodulation business. Attending meetings, conferences, and exhibitions as required, to promote our products and services. Being available to support the broader ANZ NMD business on an as-needs basis. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS Product/Technical Knowledge Successfully completes all relevant Neuromodulation training. Develop in-depth knowledge of Neuromodulation devices and treatment applications. Proactively keeps up to date with technical knowledge in Neuromodulation and procedures. Relationship Building Builds and maintains effective networks that add value in achieving work-related goals. Skilled in building rapport with a wide variety of individuals. Understands the balance between taking time to build rapport and achieving objectives set. Works effectively and collaboratively within the team environment. Organisation & Reporting Maintains well-organised materials, files, systems, and reports. Plans and prioritises territory activity. Makes sure all parts of a job are completed in full, within deadlines, including follow-up plans and paperwork. Results Focused Has a results-oriented mindset. Measures his/her own performance and seeks feedback for self-development. Demonstrates resilience and has a strong sense of urgency. Recognises and acts on opportunities. Maintains a flexible approach to meet goals. Experience Previous clinical case experience within an operative environment desired. Strong technical and clinical skills. Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships. Proven ability to absorb complex technical information and apply this knowledge in the field. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous clinical case experience within Neuromodulation is preferred. Strong technical and clinical skills are preferred.
