Clinical Safety and Patient Experience ManagerEmployment Type: Permanent Full TimePosition Classification: Health Manager Level 3Remuneration: $127150 - $144444 + SuperHours Per Week: 38Requisition ID: REQ544106Location: Broken Hill HospitalWhat you'll be doingTo provide high level support to the Director Clinical Governance and Patient Safety & Clinical Quality Manager, managers and staff, to promote a positive safety and quality culture in which patient safety and governance systems, patient safety and quality experience, clinical risk management, and consumer involvement are an integral part of core business.This role works collaboratively with FWLHD facility and service managers, staff and consumers, identifying opportunities to review and improve patient safety, patient centredness, and outcomes.It involves capacity building, monitoring for performance, incident and complaints management, dissemination of relevant information, preparation of relevant documents and reports.Minimum RequirementsCurrent registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Practitioner or tertiary qualifications in Allied Health with registration/relevant eligibility for association membership, with at least 3 years postgraduate experience and appropriate post graduate qualifications (or willingness to complete qualifications within three years of commencement).Demonstrated experience in leadership roles with responsibility for organisational and/or clinical performance and the ability to influence the development of a culture which is open to critical reflection and change.Demonstrated experience and understanding in quality, patient safety, clinical risk management within the healthcare environment, including the application and evaluation of patient safety programs, incident investigation and/or clinical risk identification tools.Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and liaison with well-developed written and oral communication skills to identify and mediate conflict and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with a range of multidisciplinary stakeholders, including senior managers, clinical staff, and consumers.Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practice of Patient Safety, Incident Management, Improvement Science/quality improvement methodologies, clinical risk management, and experience in incident investigations e.g.
