Metro South Hospital and Health Service are looking for a Clinical Resource Coordinator to join their team to provide inventory management and purchasing support to the Clinical Managers of the Critical Care areas (Operating Suite and Central Sterilising Department) of the Division of Surgery; assists in planning of clinical activities and provides financial and management information and advice to the Divisional Executives and the Clinical Unit Directors.

About the Role
• Negotiate with nursing and medical staff in regard to product / equipment assessment, selection and purchasing, consistent with legislative requirements of the State Purchasing Policy, hospital policy and Queensland Health Local Instructions to ensure that items purchased are appropriate, relevant and meet the specialised clinical needs of the various departments, and that the purchasing of non-stock items is timely and effective.
• Negotiate with nursing and medical staff on issues relating to stock levels to ensure that stock levels are optimal with respect to clinical demand and cost effectiveness.
• Manage the sourcing, requisitioning, and receiving of all non-stock items for the Operating Theatres. 
• Work within systems and procedures for the area, identifying needs for improvement and liaising with appropriate people to initiate changes accordingly.
