Our purpose is `great care every day'. About your opportunity: Fixed term temporary part-time, multiple opportunities available, commencing 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2025. This is a multi-dicsiplinary position. Applications accepted from any of the following disciplines: Nursing, Dietetics and Nutrition, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Radiation Therapy, Radiography, Speech Therapy and Psychology. The Clinical Trials Coordinator is an advanced clinical based role for a registered nurse/midwife or allied health professional to support the conduct and management of clinical trials within the Townsville Cancer Centre. This position requires complex, problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of clinical trial patients with complex care needs.
About the Unit:  The Townsville Cancer Centre, Clinical Trial Unit coordinates multi-centre, industry and clinical group led, phase 1 – 4, clinical trials in the specialities of Haematology, Medical Oncology and Radiation Therapy. The unit comprises of a multidisciplinary team of clinical professionals that work collaboratively with and under the supervision of Principal Investigators (PI) in accordance with Good Clinical Practice.
What's on offer: Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $152,775 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $54.44 to $67.53 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1/HP4) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Role Requirements: Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Adult Life Support Certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per Townsville Hospital and Health Service policy Life Support Training and Assessment -THSDCLI040151v6 ((PDF) ( )) Highly Desirable :
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in oncology or research is highly desirable as is a current Good Clinical Practice certification. Clinical Oncology experience (Chemotherapy compentency) or past trial coordination experience greater than 24 months. Travel is a requirement of this position. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. Probation period may apply. Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
