Full Job Description Clinical Research Coordinator - Research at Icon Group

Contribute to our established medical and radiation oncology clinical trial program based out of our Icon Cancer Centre - Hobart clinic.

Who are we looking for?

Whilst we will provide full training in clinical trials, our ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in relevant health sciences or allied health and come from a background with either previous hands-on clinical research, nursing or pharmacy experience.

About the role:

Permanent Full-Time opportunity to join our collaborative research team. Part-Time hours may be considered on request. This is an amazing chance to work in an oncology clinical trials unit within our treatment-based oncology clinics.

Key Responsibilities: Provide high level support to Icon Principal Investigators in the conduct and day to day management of clinical trials. Manage and conduct the clinical trial portfolio including trial coordination, recruitment, participant and team member education and communication. Ensure that clinical research carried out within Icon is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, the NHMRC National Statement and Icon policies. Contribute to the financial management of the business unit to ensure that trial participants are tracked, and patient payment data is submitted in a timely fashion. Communicate effectively with trial participants to ensure that trial related procedures are booked appropriately and compliance to attendance for trial visits is maintained. Actively attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders. About you:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual who can independently solve problems. You will also have the ability to independently manage your workflow and build rapport with various stakeholders through strong effective communication.

We will consider applicants with tertiary qualifications from a diverse range of backgrounds, including radiation therapy, nursing, pharmacy, relevant health sciences or allied health. Relevant research coordination experience would be ideal but not essential.
