About This Opportunity The Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer (QCGC) is a research centre within UQCCR. The mission of QCGC is to advance and establish the highest standard of care for women with gynaecological cancer through dedicated research and development. The Clinical Research Coordinator will coordinate a range of clinical trials in Gynaecological Oncology. They will be instrumental in the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials of novel treatments for patients with gynaecological cancer.
This role calls for a highly motivated and organised Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee and implement research projects and clinical trials led by the QCGC Research team. Reporting to the Clinical Research Manager, the coordinator will assist with various research-related activities, including project setup and administration, participant recruitment and follow-up, data collection, database management, and project progress reporting to Chief Investigators. Success in this position will depend on fostering and maintaining close working relationships with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, as well as other key stakeholders.
About You An undergraduate degree in a Science or related Health Field (e.g., Nursing) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
At least 2 years of experience as a clinical trial coordinator, preferably in a cancer care setting, with an understanding of Australian hospital systems.
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, Australian regulatory requirements for clinical trials, and applicable national laws and regulations.
Proficiency in clinical trial management systems, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and the ability to quickly acquire new technical skills.
Strong ability to maintain confidentiality, use tact and discretion, and communicate effectively with staff at all levels, both internal and external to the organization.
Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage a complex portfolio of clinical research activities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Desirable: experience in oncology clinical procedures, treatments, and patient assessment techniques.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, mandatory immunisations.
