About the Role: Working as a member of the Quality Team and reporting to the Clinical Quality Manager, this role will contribute to the clinical and quality outcomes for clients and residents participating in both Community and Residential Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work as a member of the Quality Team contributing to the clinical and quality outcomes for both Community and Residential Services.
Monitor and participate in operational, clinical and WHS audits.
Monitor and evaluate incident reporting.
Participate in the development and conduct of continuous improvement plans and reviews, including preparation of change management plans to ensure sustainable outcomes.
Participate in the review, development and maintenance of clinical policies and procedures.
Monitoring relevant legislation and current research to ensure compliance and contemporary practice.
Coordinate and participate in clinical and quality meetings.
The ideal candidate will have: Tertiary qualification in nursing (minimum Registered Nurse) with current AHPRA registration.
Quality management experience within a health or aged care setting.
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
Sound business writing skills including report, policy, and procedure writing.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good IT skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Proven ability to think and act strategically and set realistic goals and plans which improve services.
Sound understanding of the Aged Care Act and Standards and capacity to interpret and advise on legislation and quality standards regarding clinical requirements.
Knowledge of contemporary issues, trends, and practices in clinical care in the aged care sector.
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
