This is a temporary maternity relief position until 12 October 2025 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours. Join us in shaping healthier futures. Together we can do more. The key function of this position is to provide evidence-based assessment, information, and treatment for consumers. This may involve brief interventions, assessment, initiating and managing planned treatment options, consultation, and referral to other agencies or crisis management. A stepped care approach is recommended, working with the consumer to achieve their treatment goals, that is, the treatment provided is based on ongoing assessment of the consumer's progress.
The role will involve conducting psychological research and evaluation projects as required. This will involve collaborating with senior clinicians to implement research projects that can be disseminated and applied in clinical practice.
Shellharbour Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is a busy acute care facility which provides emergency services, elective surgical services, general medicine, antenatal and primary family health care, satellite renal dialysis, and adolescent and adult mental health services on site.
