About the role The Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse to join their team on our Surgical Ward.

Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
Salary range: $52.63 - $56.38 per hour (RN Level 2) plus super plus access to generous salary packaging up to $15,900 What you'll be doing The Clinical Nurse ("CN") position provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. This role works autonomously within the relevant healthcare team's speciality and structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering specialist nursing care. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. The role supports management activities, including portfolio responsibilities where applicable.
About you Candidates must have the following:
Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 (Registered Nurse) with no practice restrictions;minimum of three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse in medical and surgical unitsAdvanced level clinical and problem-solving skills;Planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of patient care;Ability to work within a collegiate healthcare team structure; andAwareness of, and involvement with, the National Safety and Quality Health Service StandardsPostgraduate tertiary qualifications applicable to healthcare team specialityMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
