Darwin Private Hospital is looking for suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our established Recovery department.
Responsibilities: Deliver quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care.Provide a high standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education while maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment.Develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.Assist the NUM of Recovery and DSU in the development, coordination, and facilitation of education programs, quality activities, HR duties, and WH&S and risk assessments across the recovery and DSU.Adhere to the 8 NSQHS Clinical standards and be a driving force in quality and safety initiatives.Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory.
As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licensed 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multi-day and day surgery including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
Our world-class private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote Aboriginal communities, and even offshore.
We are co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia.
Minimum Requirements: High level interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Positive attitude and ability to work in a team as well as independently.Desire to go above and beyond to provide a high standard of service.Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.Current Registration with AHPRA.Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (anaesthetics and recovery)/Critical Care (or working towards).Working with Children check.Commitment to Quality Patient Care.Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.Minimum 5 years post-grad experience in Recovery/DSU or critical care environment.If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and the Darwin Private Hospital - Nurses and Midwives - Enterprise Agreement.
($52.09 per hour, $103,000 p.a.
