The Community Mental Health Team offers longer-term treatment for at-risk adults with serious mental illness and associated disability requiring intervention by specialist mental health services.
Care is coordinated by a Case Manager with links to other allied health services programs.
The Team follows the Recovery Model of Care with a Client Centred focus and at times is able to provide Assertive Outreach to some of the client base.
The Team is a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, allied health professionals and an Aboriginal Health Practitioner with a dedicated full time Consultant Psychiatrist and a dedicated Psychiatric Registrar.
CAT Mental Health RN
The Crisis Assessment Treatment Team has the primary function of acting as the first point of contact for most people experiencing mental health issues to access Mental Health Services in Central Australia and provide a single point of contact for clients wishing to contact mental health services on a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week basis.
