This is for a Permanent or Fixed Term Fulltime appointment at 80 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Liaison to join the Midwest mental Health & CADS team at Geraldton Health Campus – Midwest. To be successful, you will have... extensive knowledge and experience of mental health disorders and provision of evidence-based treatment in acute and community settings.Significant experience in crisis intervention and the prioritising, and management of psychiatric and non-psychiatric emergencies in complex situations.Knowledge and skills in the implementation of the WA Mental Health Act and legislation affecting clinical practice.Highly developed communication skills including computer literacy.Highly developed negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and use effective communication and interpersonal skills.Position Profile: Establish and maintain high quality standards of patient care by leadership, delivery of care and role modelling in accordance with policies and procedures. Act as a clinical resource to staff across the hospital. Provide expert clinical assessment, screening, follow-up and care as required.
