What is our Clinical Nurse Specialist – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) role? The position practises as a Senior Registered Nurse (SRN) in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart; provides clinical leadership and management within the organisation, clinical division and area(s) of responsibility; upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation and nursing values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity.
The ICU Unit at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) consists of 1 pod of 13 beds and 1 pod of 10 beds. The ICU is a multi-disciplinary area providing complex care, life support and intensive monitoring for patients from all disciplines in the hospital.

Area Profile SCGH is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals.
