The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to support new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles.
It is available to new and existing nurses working full-time, part-time on fixed-term and permanent contracts at eligible sites.Eligible nurses and midwives may receive between $5,000 and $17,000 paid over 12-months. This position is located at the Kalgoorlie Health Campus.
Kalgoorlie is Australia's largest Outback city where mining, history and bushland combine, located 595 km east-northeast of Perth.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in this role, you would be responsible for the following: Development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of WA Country Health Service (WACHS) – Goldfields Infection Prevention and Control Program.Providing a clinical resource/advisory service for Infection Prevention and Control to all Health Services within WACHS Goldfields.Assisting all Health Services to implement the relevant Infection Prevention and Control requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS).To be successful, you will have the following: Demonstrated ability to apply relevant standards, legislation and policies related to the practice of IPC.Demonstrated expertise and experience in IPC with application of theoretical knowledge in clinical practice and research.Demonstrated effective communication and leadership skills including leading change and collaborative engagement with multidisciplinary staff in a variety of contexts.Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating IPC programs, incorporating risk management and quality improvement strategies.Computer literacy and ability to utilise information systems.What we offer: In addition to the great salary, our employees enjoy an amazing range of benefits:

The WA Country Health Service Goldfields consists of two main health campuses located in Kalgoorlie & Esperance, and three smaller hospitals located in Laverton, Leonora, and Norseman.
The Goldfields is a culturally rich region with a number of Aboriginal communities spread out across the region, 16 distinct Aboriginal language groups and an Aboriginal population that represents 12.3 per cent of our total population.
