This is for a Permanent, Fixed Term or Casual appointment at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at Shark Bay Nursing Post – Midwest. To be successful, you will have: Effective leadership skills (organisational, supervisory, caseload management and problem solving skills). Extensive clinical experience including assessment skills, triage and emergency management skills, clinical problem solving and understanding of chronic disease management. Knowledge and application of primary health care principles and programs. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural setting. Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including problem solving and negotiation skills. Position Profile: Responsible for the provision and coordination of primary health care to communities including remote locations. This includes the provision of Nursing Services encompassing emergency care, chronic disease management, child health, immunisation, health promotion, and education.
