We currently have a Permanent Full Time position available to fill. VCID No. 906114 Position Profile: We currently have a role available for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Child and Adolescent Community Health team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Child and Adolescent Community Health is responsible for the provision of clinical leadership and demonstrates an advanced level of nursing knowledge and skills to lead strategic initiatives and clinical reform projects within the CAHS – Child and Adolescent Community Health nursing arena. This position implements approved initiatives introduced to support existing and new professional nursing programs and undertakes evaluation of programs within Child and Adolescent Community Health to achieve stated program objectives.
Reporting to the Nurse Director, your key responsibilities will include:
Contribute to strategic nursing leadership and direction related to Child and Adolescent Community Health Nursing Services in consultation with internal and external key stakeholders. Initiate and analyse research to determine clinical best practice. Initiate, implement and evaluate best practice activities to support delivery of appropriate care within specialty area. Maintain an expert awareness of clinical trends and issues which may impact on the nursing workforce. Collaborate and consult with key stakeholders and functional areas of the agency to identify needs, priorities and issues relating to clinical nursing practice, including the identification of risks, costs and benefits. Plan, develop and coordinate the implementation of innovative strategies and clinical reform aligned to the requirements of the organisation, WA Health strategic intent and legislative requirements Use effective change management strategies and project management methodology to lead improvements in practice within the health service. The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State's only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Child and Adolescent Community Health (CACH) , Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 6,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
