The Clinical Nurse Specialist will report to the Care Manager and Services Manager and will perform the following responsibilities:Leading the registered nurses in clinical care and ensuring oversight and direction of the care staff.Liaising with health practitioners, including GPs and allied health providers to ensure changes in resident care needs are reported and reviewed with prescribed changes to clinical care implemented and evaluated.Carrying out a comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of residents.Developing a plan of care with the primary aim of providing optimal quality of life for the individual in consultation with the Resident or Representative.Coordinating and monitoring the planning, implementation, and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards.Timely and accurate documentation within the clinical software programs.Liaising with other members of the health team to identify resident care needs, plan interventions, and review outcomes of care.Overseeing care staff and delegation of care.Successful applicants must have:Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.A comprehensive clinical knowledge and understanding of the ageing process, particularly age-related health issues.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Ability to prioritise and manage workloads.Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined work team.Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience interacting with a wide range of people.Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety.Commitment to continuous improvement.Previous working experience in the aged care setting is desirable.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Clinical Nurse Specialist?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Do you have a current nursing registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?Are you currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?
