Clinical Nurse Specialist Education (Grade 2)This position qualifies for a Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (pro-rata part-time/temporary positions less than 18 months), and a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (pro-rata part time), under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.
To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (as taxable income).

What you'll be doing Work across our facilities throughout the district, and within Broken Hill Health Service assisting in Nursing Learning and DevelopmentDevelop your skills & rapidly progress your career with more responsibility and autonomy than you would get in larger hospitalsProvide our patients with safe, compassionate, person centred careTravel between sites covered + free accommodation when away from base siteDevelop and implement clinical education programs to support ongoing professional clinical development of nursing and midwifery staffMake a meaningful difference to health outcomes for patients and clientsMinimum Requirements Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards and attain certification within 12 months of commencement of position.Demonstrated three years' experience providing clinical teaching and education to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills.Preparedness to work with and relevant experience in working with undergraduate students undertaking clinical placement and relevant key stakeholders including Universities and the University Department of Rural Health in Broken Hill.Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills as a Registered Nurse.Demonstrated sound organisational skills and the ability to be resourceful, proactive and flexible to successfully manage competing issues and deadlines.Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.Eligibility to drive in NSW and preparedness to travel across rural and remote areas.About the Far West LHD
