Exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Department of Health!
The Role: Works in partnership with the relevant clinical leader and/or manager to maintain and coordinate the clinical quality registry database for Surgery.Ensures the efficient and effective provision of data from various information systems is captured, based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework, and provides operational leadership through clinical interpretation regarding the information obtained.Assists with education, quality initiatives, organisational protocol development and review of the clinical quality registry procedures and guidelines.You will need: Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative, and work with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise clinical and administrative tasks within a busy environment subject to work pressure and change.Proven commitment to teamwork, together with advanced interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to lead, manage conflict and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in the planning and coordination of clinical care for patients.Details of appointment: Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 20 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately fourteen (14) months. This includes 16 hours in the first fortnight, and 24 hours the alternate fortnight. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $103,466 to $109,165 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
